Electric Vehicle Lab

As the automotive industry continues to shift toward greener mobility, LHU has invested more than VND 2 billion in the Electric Vehicle Lab for students majoring in Electric Automotive Engineering Technology. The facility is located in Room I104, Campus 6 – LHU Center of Scientific Research and Applications, and is managed and operated by the Faculty of Mechatronics and Electronics.

The Lab provides a dedicated learning environment where students can gain hands-on experience with electric vehicle technologies and become familiar with solutions currently used in the automotive industry. Its facilities and equipment are designed to support teaching, practical training, and research activities.

The Electric Vehicle Lab is equipped with specialized equipment for teaching, learning, and research. The University has invested in two modern electric vehicle models, including a BYD Atto 2 valued at nearly VND 700 million and a VF3 electric vehicle valued at nearly VND 300 million. These vehicles are used directly for practical classes and student research activities.

The facility also includes high-voltage battery systems, electric motors, control units, charging stations, testing and measurement equipment, and specialized diagnostic tools. The practice room is arranged in accordance with technical safety requirements, giving students an opportunity to learn in an environment that is close to actual working conditions in the electric vehicle industry.

The Electric Vehicle Lab is more than a place for students to practice technical skills. It provides an environment where they can develop engineering thinking, improve their ability to analyze and troubleshoot technical problems, and strengthen teamwork skills.

The investment in vehicles, components, and specialized diagnostic equipment, including the BYD Atto 2 and VinFast VF3, reflects LHU's focus on practice-oriented education. Through hands-on learning in the Electric Vehicle Lab, students can gain practical experience and better prepare for changes in the labor market and the growing electric vehicle industry in Vietnam.
