FFA organizes Thesis Defense Council for Students of Cohorts 2023 and 2024

On the morning of May 31, 2025, at rooms B401 to B405 – Campus 1 of Lac Hong University, the Faculty of Finance and Accounting held thesis defense sessions for students of Cohorts 2023 and 2024 from the regular top-up university programs, degree completion pathway, as well as for students retaking their internships. This important event marked a significant transition for students from academic learning to practical professional environments.

A total of 59 students participated, presenting the outcomes of their research, academic learning, and internship experiences before academic committees. The Thesis Defense Council consisted of the Faculty’s leadership and a team of highly qualified lecturers. These committees were divided into multiple sub-panels, each with a designated panel leader, members, and secretary, ensuring the evaluation process was conducted objectively, seriously, and in accordance with academic regulations.

In a formal yet open atmosphere, the students confidently presented their theses, demonstrating strong professional knowledge, analytical and synthesis skills, and the ability to apply theoretical concepts to real-life situations. Many theses were highly appreciated by the panels for their practical relevance, rigorous investment, and clear scientific research methodology.

Speaking at the event, a representative from the Faculty leadership emphasized: “The thesis defense not only provides students with an opportunity to reflect on their academic journey but also allows them to demonstrate their capabilities and readiness to enter the professional world.”

The defense sessions were conducted with academic seriousness, enabling students to receive constructive feedback and improve their professional skills. It was also an occasion for lecturers and the university to acknowledge and commend the efforts of students throughout their studies.
