LHU students win Second and Third prizes at 24th Chinese Bridge Competition

In celebration of the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and China and to promote cultural exchange, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities – VNU-HCM in collaboration with the Consulate General of China in Ho Chi Minh City, successfully hosted the 24th “Chinese Bridge” Chinese Proficiency Competition for College Students – 7th China Business Association Cup – Ho Chi Minh City Branch, Vietnam, 2025. Under the theme “Exploring Chinese Culture through Language, Travel, Education, Cuisine, and Arts”, the Competition attracted 28 contestants from 15 universities across southern Vietnam, creating a vibrant and meaningful academic platform.

  • At the 24th Chinese Bridge Competition, LHU was represented by two contestants: Nguyen Thi Ngoc Hau and Le Thi Yen Nhi, both from class 22DT112. The two female students quickly became the center of attention with their impressive performances across all three challenging rounds.

After three intense rounds, Nguyen Thi Ngoc Hau and Le Thi Yen Nhi impressively secured the Second and Third prizes, respectively. From the Chinese Language and Culture Quiz in Round I to the Thematic Speech and Q&A in Round II - where both made a strong impression with their insightful, coherent presentations and fluent use of Chinese - and finally to the Talent Performance in Round III, which which showcased artistic expression and the spirit of Chinese culture, the two students demonstrated confidence, competence, and outstanding talent throughout the competition.

The Chinese Bridge Competition serves as a valuable academic platform, offering students the opportunity to sharpen their skills, apply knowledge in real-world contexts, enhance communication and critical thinking, and showcase their talents. It also fosters connections and cultural exchange with both domestic and international peers, deepens understanding of Chinese people and culture, while strengthening the long-standing and close friendship between Vietnam and China.
